Meet our Volunteers: Francisco “Kiko” Juelle

April 25, 2013

Meet our Volunteers: KikoWe’re celebrating National Volunteer Week by introducing you to a handful of our amazing volunteers! Today we’re profiling Francisco Juelle, better known to friends and Pablove staffers as Kiko. Kiko and his friends from the University of New Orleans help us spread the pablove every year at the Voodoo Experience. (He even has signatures from every one of our band meet+greets on his Pablove volunteer tee to prove it!) Here’s what we learned about Kiko in a recent interview:

I discovered The Pablove Foundation by…
My friends Kailyn and Austen asked me if I wanted to volunteer at Voodoo with a childhood cancer research foundation and see some bands afterwards. I said, “Yeah! Why not?”

I volunteer for The Pablove Foundation by…
Promoting Pablove to festival-goers, selling merchandise, helping to setup and pack down the Voodoo booth, and much more!

My go-to, can’t-live-without treat is…
A Kit Kat bar. They are delicious. I must eat at least one a day.

My favorite YouTube video of all time is…
I’m not much of a YouTube guy, but if I had to choose it would be the original Keyboard Cat. http://youtu.be/J—aiyznGQ

When I’m not fighting childhood cancer with love I am…
Studying!

My formula for happiness is…

  • Eating
  • Sleeping
  • Spending time with my family
  • Helping others
  • Being home in Puerto Rico

I fell in pablove with The Pablove Foundation when…
I was talking to Voodoo festival-goers about Pablove. Every time I was explaining Pablove’s mission to people, in my mind I was thinking, “Wow, this is such a beautiful foundation that does so many things to fight childhood cancer with love.” Then I met [co-founder] Jo Ann and [staffer] Megan; they were so charismatic and they are so focused on their mission that I absorbed that energy.
