Meet our Volunteers: Drew Shannon

April 26, 2013

Meet our Volunteers: DrewWe’re celebrating National Volunteer Week by introducing you to a handful of our amazing volunteers! Today we’re profiling Drew Shannon, who you’ll frequently see behind the lens documenting Pablove’s events and programs. Here’s what we learned about Drew in a recent interview:

I discovered The Pablove Foundation by…
I worked in the music business for a few years and came across Jeff’s social media profiles. As a fellow music lover and bike-enthusiast, as well as a cancer survivor, getting involved with Pablove was a natural fit.

I volunteer for The Pablove Foundation by…
Photographing Pablove events!

My go-to, can’t-live-without treat is…
A good cup of coffee.

My favorite YouTube video of all time is…
Aaron Draplin, Draplin Design Company: http://youtu.be/J3RnDD4kETI
(ed. note – a few NSFW words used in this design-minded, Ted Talk-esque presentation so we’re just posting the link instead of embedding the video.)

When I’m not fighting childhood cancer with love I am…
Working at a YouTube technology startup, exploring LA with my camera, or playing with my dog.

My formula for happiness is…

  • My camera
  • My dog
  • My family
  • LA sunshine
  • Music

I fell in pablove with The Pablove Foundation when…
I was photographing the Pablove Pediatric Brain Tumor Symposium in late 2012, and was immediately struck by the passion and dedication of everyone involved. Wonderful people coming together for the greater good.
