Steve Borgman is a long-time friend of The Pablove Foundation and active member of the Houston Friends of Pablove group. Professionally, he is a registered patent attorney and his practice, which spans more than 30 years, includes counseling on a variety of intellectual property matters including mergers and acquisitions, license and technology agreements, and freedom-to-operate opinions. Steve also prosecutes patents and advises clients on their strategies for developing their patent portfolios. Steve has handled a wide range of intellectual property cases in a variety of industries, including numerous patent cases. He also has significant experience with the arbitration and mediation of intellectual property disputes.
He earned his JD with high distinction, Order of the Coif, at the University of Iowa College of Law, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University. When he is not busy helping his many clients, he likes to play guitar and is still trying to learn Free Bird.
