The Hardest-Working Kids in Chicago
An eager family wanted to fundraise for their friend Bryan, who was riding in Pablove Across America 2010 from Seattle to Los Angeles. With a prime location in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood and the famous Chicago Marathon scheduled for the weekend, Becks (age 7) and Lucy Belle (age 3) came up with the perfect plan: a “three-stage” beverage stand.
The kids sported their Pablove tees and got to work on a very convincing ad campaign for their stand. On Saturday morning they sold hot cocoa to visitors strolling around the neighborhood. That night, they were back at it offering more hot cocoa to the busy dinner crowd. On Sunday morning, they hit the sidewalk again with lemonade for the Chicago Marathon runners and fans. Their efforts brought in close to $300 for The Pablove Foundation, with the invaluable benefit of raising awareness of childhood cancer to all who passed by!
