May 9, 2012

Pedaling for Pablove is days away and you’ve already raised over $6,300 to fight childhood cancer with love! We can’t wait to recognize all of the kids’ hard work fundraising and enjoy the ride, activities, and great food and beverages with all of you. We’re especially excited for the kids’ bike we are raffling off courtesy of Bicycle World.

Where do we park?
The school is located at 6325 Cromwell Place, at the corner of Cromwell Pl and Calhoun St.

Please plan on finding street parking around the school on Saturday, as the ride course is taking over the parking lot. The area may be buzzing with activity on Saturday due to Loyola University’s commencement, but the actual ceremony is off-site at the Superdome so we do not anticipate trouble finding parking. Be sure to leave yourself extra time to find a spot!

Can riders register the day of? Our friends want to join us but
haven’t fundraised.

YES. Rider registration will be accepted on a walk-up basis. As a reminder, all riders must raise or pay at least $15 to participate. T-shirts and goodie bags for children who did not pre-register are limited in supply.

Are you still accepting volunteer registration?
YES! Sign up at pablove.org/kidsridevolunteer.

What are the prizes for fundraisers?
The top fundraiser in each age group will receive a Slim Goody’s package and a $100 gift certificate to Eastbank Cyclery! The top fundraising team will also receive a $100 gift certificate for Eastbank Cyclery.

What activities can we do while our child is not riding?
Enjoy music from Ms Lala and Los Poboycitos, bike safety demonstrations with Bike Easy, and check out our great silent auction or enter the raffle for a chance to win the kids’ Moda bike!

Foodie Call will be on hand with favorites like their porchetta sandwich, poutine, and grilled cheese sliders (a portion of the proceeds go to Pablove!). Beer from NOLA Brewing will be available for donation. The kids can enjoy free treats from Green to Go, La Divina gelato, Kupcake Factory, and Hubig’s Pies!
