Trudi Mendez

Trudi is our Houston Local Teaching Artist. She has been a part of the Pablove team since Fall 2019. She is both an educator and photographer. She has been teaching for 15+ years in a variety of subjects. Since 2010 she has taught children ages 3 – 18 in STEM, ESL and creative arts. Shutterbugs allows her to share her passion for photography and learning. Her teaching style focuses on fostering a positive learning environment.

Trudi is an active member in Houston’s art community. She enjoys collaborating on projects with peers from the Glassell School of Art and Houston Center for Photography. She is also a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA).

Trudi’s professional photography experience is varied. She was a sports photographer for several years and loves capturing raw, candid moments. She has photographed the Houston homeless population for 5 years now and is currently focusing on documentary and nature projects. In her free time Trudi enjoys drinking coffee with friends, hanging out with her grandkids and spending time in her garden.
