A Mitzvah Project for Pablove

A Mitzvah Project for PabloveMany synagogues and families have begun asking bar/bat mitzvah candidates to do “tzedakah (social action) projects” as part of their mitzvah preparations.

Requiring this reinforces the idea to the teens that the mitzvot (commandments) involve not only ritual but social action as well.

Deciding how to give back to the community in the form of your Mitzvah Project is always a big moment and one of the most important decisions for a young woman or man approaching their bat/bar mitzvah.

Thirteen-year-old Los Angeleno Jackson chose to fight childhood cancer with love for his Mitzvah Project. He used the opportunity to spread the word about childhood cancer awareness to his peers and loved ones. Jackson gave a speech about Pablove and our mission, put the Foundation in the event’s prayer book and told his friends, family, and guests that a portion of their gifts would be donated to The Pablove Foundation. Last February, Jackson presented a check for over $800 to Pablove! His generosity and passion for our mission was both charming and inspirational. We were honored and thrilled that Jackson chose The Pablove Foundation to be his Mitzvah Project and that he was able to use his special day to give back in such a memorable way.
