Youth Arts Program Coordinator

 

The Pablove Foundation’s mission is to invest in underfunded, pediatric cancer research and improve the lives of children living with cancer through the arts. Pablove Shutterbugs, the signature arts program of The Pablove Foundation, teaches children living with cancer to develop their creative voice through the art of photography.

 

The Youth Arts Program Coordinator reports to the Pablove Shutterbugs Director. This position’s primary responsibility is to ensure the continued effectiveness of the Shutterbugs program by contributing to the artistic and educational needs of the Pablove Shutterbugs team.  All employees at The Pablove Foundation undertake other duties as needed. The Youth Arts Program Coordinator is a full time, hourly position requiring some evening and weekend events.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate photography needs of the team by overseeing printing of high quality photos, digital photo storage and assets
  • Assist with Shutterbugs classes, programming, volunteer appreciation initiatives and gallery shows
  • Assist with initiatives across the organization that will help Pablove grow nationally
  • Work closely with Pablove Shutterbugs staff to creatively problem solve and help move the team forward in the areas of arts education curricula, creative youth development, and arts healing.
  • Recruit volunteers and teaching artists in local communities and participate in training and on-boarding new constituents
  • Help to ensure that the student experience is high quality, consistent, and fun
  • Assist in conceptualizing and implementing initiatives to support teaching artists and staff with emotional support initiatives
  • Oversee all Pablove Shutterbugs templates and documents. Update all materials annually and produce, print, and ship documents and training manuals to constituents across the United States
  • Print all fine art, archival photographs for student Gallery Shows and coordinate framing, shipping, creating labels, signs, and didactics
  • Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment including ordering paper, ink, and supplies for the Print Shop
  • Assist with the organization, tracking and tagging of student work in Pablove Shutterbugs archive
  • Represent The Pablove Foundation and Pablove Shutterbugs program at community events
  • Oversee organization systems for the physical office such as re-ordering supplies, maintaining a system to store and organize photos, equipment, signage, paperwork, etc.
  • Assist Program Director in evaluation and data visualization for program reports

 

MUST HAVES

 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

 

    • A passion and knowledge of the arts and an artistic eye
    • 2-3 years of experience in arts programming (preferably curriculum-based) and working  directly with youth
    • Process oriented thinker with initiative and follow-through with projects
    • Superior communication skills

 

  • Experience working with using databases (i.e. DonorPro, Salesforce)
  • MAC proficiency a must
  • Experience with Adobe CS6 programs including Photoshop preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required

 

  • Degree in Education, Studio Art, Arts Administration, or a related creative arts field
