DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Pablove is seeking an ambitious, creative and dynamic Director of Development to join our team of hard-working, mission-driven fundraisers. We are looking for a key relationship builder who is eager to steward existing supporters and curate a new portfolio of inspired donors. The ideal candidate will connect our mission to a community of engaged constituents which will contribute to Pablove’s strategic growth plan, culture of philanthropy, and vision: helping kids with cancer live – a love-filled life today, and a cancer-free life tomorrow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the VP of Development, the Director of Development is responsible for implementing all annual giving efforts of the Foundation inclusive of individual giving, major gifts, corporate, online fundraising, grants, events and operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  •  Development and execution of a robust annual giving program to include individual donors through online fundraising campaigns, monthly giving, regional fundraising, grants and community partnerships
  • Management and supervision of twohree full-time professional development staff as well as contracted consultants
  • Development of a major gift campaign that will engage key multi-year donors and prospects through relationship building to raise dollars for our Powered by Pablove and Pablove Shutterbugs programs
  • Development, execution, and growth of a successful strategic partnership program that bundles a myriad of corporate sponsorship and cause marketing opportunities with a plan that engages multi-year support
  • Development and oversight of regional Friends of Pablove in Austin, San Francisco and Seattle, and strategic other cities where Pablove has programmatic presence
  • Oversight of the Heart of Pablove (Benevon) program, ensuring the overall success of our mission tours, stewardship opportunities, and our Pablove One Another ask events
  • Implementation of a robust donor prospecting program to provide new members to our donor pipeline
  •  Management of the annual budget, ensuring that revenue targets are exceeded, and expenses are managed appropriately
  • Work closely with all Pablove staff, board, volunteers, donors and constituents to support a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization

MUST-HAVES

  • 4-5 years of progressive fundraising experience and a proven track record of successful annual giving and major gift funds.
  • An incredible passion for our mission that invigorates and excites everyone with whom you share it with.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, articulate and persuasive, with well-honed skills for building relationships with love, warmth and connection
  • Drive, inspiration, and excitement for the opportunity to help shape the future of the development team and Pablove as a whole.
  •  A desire for collaboration and high performance that values continuous improvement and a commitment to excellence.
  • A team-orientation and strong work ethic, essential for this demanding environment that continually strives for transformational growth
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills possessing the ability to represent Pablove to our diverse constituents.
