Development Assistant

Pablove is looking for a Development Assistant to join our team of mission-driven fundraisers. Pablove’s community is the core of our brand, and we are looking for an ambitious hard worker who will ensure a flawless donor experience. The ideal candidate will connect our mission to a community of engaged constituents, which will contribute to Pablove’s strategic growth, culture of philanthropy, and vision: helping kids with cancer live – a love-filled life today, and a cancer-free life tomorrow.

This position will play a key role in helping Pablove reach our strategic goals by ensuring that our Development department functions flawlessly. We are looking for a hard working, ambitious, and smart addition who will help ensure Pablove reaches its goals by providing high quality support Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Development Assistant will have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Development, Director of Development and Director of Team Pablove
  • Ensure that the Development Department’s scheduling for meetings and travel works flawlessly
  • Take notes at meetings and disseminate information; take ownership of follow-up items assigned to the assistant
  • Prepare and mail donor acknowledgment letters and thank you packages
  • Coordinate donor stewardship mailings and other mailings for the Development team
  • Play a key supporting role at events, including gallery shows, Pablove One Another, Pablove Across America, and community events by providing administrative, staging, and technical assistance
  • Confirm and manage matching gift program, take responsibility for donor invoices, and assist in Benevon pledge program
  • Create and update Classy pages as needed, assisting Team Pablove and Pablove Across America donors and others with their own pages
  • Secure and manage event volunteers as needed. Ensure that they are welcomed, invited to The Heart of Pablove tours, and acknowledged in a timely fashion
  • Work with Friends of Pablove groups as needed to provide support
  • Assist in light data entry for donor gifts
  • Work collaboratively and cross-departmentally to help Pablove reach its financial goals

MUST-HAVES

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in an office environment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Impeccable appreciation for arts and aesthetics, and superior attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Macs, GSuite, MS Office
  • A sense of humor and a strong work ethic

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • Experience with SalesForce
  • Familiarity with online and peer-to-peer fundraising
  • Special events experience
