Pablove Shutterbugs wows at Teen Impact

June 9, 2014

At Pablove, we declare that summer has officially begun with one of our favorite adventures…the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Teen Impact Retreat!

The Pablove Foundation has made a three-year, $60,000 pledge to support the weekend-long camp for SoCal teens diagnosed with cancer.

As part of our pledge, we bring our Pablove Shutterbugs photography program to the retreat as a workshop. The camp is a safe haven for teens living with cancer – an inspiring space where campers can share stories, voice their feelings, and get support from other kids who know what it is like to have cancer. The result is a wellspring of creative expression. Twenty-six new Pablove Shutterbugs wowed their fellow campers with a presentation of the artwork they captured over the weekend. See for yourself!

One student summed up their Pablove Shutterbugs experience:

“[Photography taught me] that there are feelings that you can express without words.”
– Pablove Shutterbugs student, age 15

Our very own Pablove Shutterbugs Summer Camp in Los Angeles is now enrolling students of all ages. Apply by July 7 at pablove.org/shutterbugs under Upcoming Classes.
