Pablove Ambassador Catherine Shines on “Midday Sunday”
Hello, my name is Catherine and I’m a Pablove Ambassador! My first Ambassador experience was representing the Pablove Shutterbugs program at Fox Studios. It was an amazing experience because I never thought I would be on Fox 11 News. It was really fun and exciting to be behind the scenes of a live show taping and be a part of it alongside my friend and fellow Ambassador, Maddie! It felt really great to talk about Pablove Shutterbugs on camera. I learned how to not be afraid of speaking in public anymore and how lucky I am to have had this opportunity.

My absolute favorite part of participating in the taping was speaking about the Pablove Shutterbugs program. I was able to express how I felt about Shutterbugs and spread the word about the good things The Pablove Foundation does for pediatric cancer patients. Pablove is important to kids living with cancer — I hope that future kids could have the same opportunity as I did to become involved. I was also able to talk about the photo I took, Milk and Magic, and the story behind it that not many people knew about.

My experience in talking with Tony Valdez on Fox 11 Los Angeles was special and I am proud to be both a Pablove Shutterbugs student and a Pablove Ambassador. I not only think of Pablove Shutterbugs as a photography program but as my home! I feel safe and wanted. Through photography, Pablove changed my point of view like no one else could. I never feel different at Pablove. Pablove Shutterbugs is the best place I could wish to be if I ever feel down. It’s an amazing thing to be part of the Pablove family!
