Meet our Staff: Ruth Chun

September 9, 2014

If you’ve ever needed a tax-receipt for your donation or even thought about lacing up to run with Team Pablove, then chances are you’ve interacted with our Development Coordinator Ruth Chun. Ruth captains Team Pablove, writes the very best thank you notes, and keeps our donor database spic and span.

That’s Ruth on the right, repping Pablove at Taste of the Eastside. Get to know her for a behind the scenes look at fighting childhood cancer with love.

How did you discover The Pablove Foundation?

I found my job posting through Idealist, a site dedicated to nonprofit careers and volunteer gigs. Pablove posts a lot of opportunities there, so if you are in search of a way to give back bookmark our page!

What is your go-to, can’t-live-without treat?

Al pastor tacos..and burritos..and french fries…

What is your favorite YouTube video of all time?

Corgi Flop. A-DOR-able.

Finish this sentence. “When I’m not fighting childhood cancer with love I am…”

Most likely eating al pastor tacos..and burritos..and french fries…

Thank god for Team Pablove to burn it all off.

What is your formula for happiness?

Family, friends, food, traveling, and sleeping.

Mile 13 of the LA Marathon

Describe the moment you fell in pablove with our mission.

I read about the organization’s history and knew I wanted to be involved…then I met the Pablove Shutterbugs students and was all in!

Ruth is now recruiting for the 2015 ASICS LA Marathon, Charity Relay, and LA Big 5k team! She can be reached at [email protected] with questions. All taco (and burrito…and french fry) addicts are welcome.
